Lion Joe George (#47) was absent and our Intrepid Song Leader Lion Tamer Don Vineyard won the Tail Twister’s pot on the second drawing.

Our attendance was 19 members plus 2 guests.  Lion Bill Dickens was missed, he is sick.  Lion Bill advises we will have a net profit from the Pecan Sales in excess of $7,000.00

Lion District Governor Johnny Rye made his official visit to our club this week.  He presented a video program from Lions Clubs International entitled “Move to Grow” encouraging all clubs to increase their membership by inviting young people, spouses and female prospective members.  Remember membership in a Lions Club is by invitation only.

Lion District Governor Johnny presented Lion Charles Hartwig a Certificate of Appreciation from Lions Clubs International, a reward for Lion Charles work on the Lions Peace Poster project and service as Public Relations Committee chairman for many years.

Next week is our regular business meeting plus we will have the winners of the Westside Peace Poster contest.

Our program on January 26 will be Leslie Bauders with the Girl Scouts.
