Lion Bill Levins (#39) was the winner of the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing. 

Our attendance was 19 members plus 11 guests.  Mr. John Blair with Subway Restaurants was a guest of Lion Robert Bahn.  John is also a Car Show Sponsor and a possible new member.  We also had guests representing Westside Middle School and the winner of our Peace Poster Contest, Rebecca Lopez with her parents Mr. & Mrs. Francisco Lopez, and sisters Alex and Lidia.  We also had the Principal Pam Dooley and Art Teacher Angela Martin with her children Emily, Allie and Ethan.  Lion Charles Hartwig presented Rebecca with letters of appreciation from District and State Peace Poster Chairman Earlene Hankins and Mary Johnson.

This was our regular business meeting with the reading of the January 14 Board of Directors meeting minutes and the Treasurer’s financial statement.  As of December 31, our bank balance was $23,746.68 with $19,729.14 in the Activity Fund and $4,017.54 in the Operating Fund.

President Randy advised we are now an associate member of the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce.

The Car Show Committee will meet Tuesday, January 26, at 6:30 PM, at the Forest Home Church of the Nazarene.

Mrs. Leslie Baunders with the Girl Scouts will be our program next week.
