Lion Secretary Brad Carson (#44) was
the lucky winner of the Tail Twisters pot. Attendance was good with 33
members and 3 guests. Guests were Payton Glisson, guest of his father
Lion Gary Glisson and Driss Elakrich, guest of Lion Charles Hartwig.
Driss if from Morocco and is teaching Arabic language at A.S.U.
We now have a house parent for
Dyeann’s House Mrs. Carla
Benzing has been hired for the position. This week (Monday)
Dyeann’s House was visited by
the 5th & 6th grade students of Bay Elementary
School along with their counselor Mrs. Phyllis Curtis members of the Bay
Elementary School Just Say No Club. They have taken the
Dyeann’s House as a club
project and have contributed a set of bunk beds, several boxes of
children's books, toys and toiletry items. There was a bus load of about
30 children and school personnel making the visit with live coverage on
Channel 8 TV for the 6:00 PM Newscast. Other recent donations to
Dyeann’s House have been a
$400.00 contribution from the Black Rock Lions Club and a $100.00
donation from the Bilco Company in Trumann.
Wrong information last week - the
Car Show Committee is to meet next Tuesday, Feb. 3rd at
7:00 PM at Forest Home Church of the Nazerene. This is a most important
meeting for the Car Show and need all committee members plus any other
members to attend. The club will start selling ads in a program that
will be given away during the Car Show. The
ads cost $175 for a full page (10 1/4 X 11 1/4 inches with 4 free
show tickets; $100 for a half page with 2 free tickets; $80 for a
quarter page and $50 for an 1/8 page ad). We also sell the back page in
color with 8 tickets for $450. All ads must be turned in by March 1st.

will try out a new location for breakfast. We will meet at Ed’s Catfish

Our program this week was given by
Ms. Sherri Beatty Executive Director of The foundation of Arts. Cherri
talked about the various programs offered by The Foundation of Arts and
The Art Center. This weekend January 30th & 31st
the Foundation’s Fabulous Follies will be at The Forum Theater at 7:30
PM.
