Our program this week was given by Ed Way from the Transportation Committee of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce. Ed gave a most interesting and informative talk concerning the location of new highway work being planned for Craighead County and Jonesboro. Highway 226 is now being built for 4 lanes of traffic from Highway 49 to US Highway 67 through Cash. Also, 4 lane highway is being planned for Highway 18 to Blytheville.
Next week is business meeting and Lion Charles advises we will have the last of the 3 Peace Poster winners along with his parents and art teacher. The 6th grader, Juan Islas won not only the Jonesboro International Studies Magnet School contest, but also the District 7-0 contest and the state-wide contest. We will have 2 checks to present to him.
Put the dates of April 8 & 9 on your calendar for the Mid South Lions Leader Forum.
See you Tuesday. BRING A GUEST.
