The following members were
absent this week: Ed Foster (#37), James Hall (#19), Rush
Nash (#55), Roger Roush (#23) and Lion Secretary Brad Carson
won the pot
with the fifth drawing. There
were 29 members in attendance.
Guests this week were Rickey
Jackson, a guest of Lion Ron Irvin, and Past District
Governor Lion Jim Gunter from
the Hope, Arkansas Lions Club. Lion Jim is presently a
candidate for the Arkansas Supreme Court.
It was good to see Lion Vern
Drake back with us after having his surgery.
Our condolences go to the family
of Lion Claud Cash who passed away Monday
evening at UAMS Medical Center
in Little Rock. Lion Claud has been sick for several months
and he will be missed. He was a faithful member of our club
and the
Trumann Lions Club for several
years.
This was our monthly business
meeting with the secretary reading the minutes of
The March 4 board of directors
meeting and the treasurer giving the club
Financial report. The bank
balance as of February 29 was $10,163.12 with
$1,719.12 in the Operating Fund
and $8,444.25 in the Activity Fund.
Car Show Chairman Lion Brad
Baker discussed the upcoming car show and

reports pertaining to their assignments. Lion
Ed Larson is needing 3 or 4 more
ticket takers working Saturday and Sunday.
The goody bags will be stuffed
next Tuesday at 7:00 pm at Roller Farmers Union
Funeral Home. We need more
goody bag items and door prizes. Bring them
To Brad Carson at the funeral
home. As of today we have 90 cars pre-registered
And more coming in the
everyday. This year we will have two activities at the car
Show for children – a remote
control car track and a paint ball booth. Our car show
committee has done a great job in planning this show this
year.
