Lion Kevin Reed (#49) was absent and Lion Vern Drake (#13) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the second drawing.

Attendance was 17 members plus 2  guests.  Mr. Ron McCormick, with Suddenlink, was a guest of Lion Jim Watkins.  Ron manages our advertising with Suddenlink for our Car Show.

To date we have 78 cars registered for the car show and we have received $9,000 from the Advertising and Promotion Committee for the City of Jonesboro.

Our program this week was Nathan Wells, Assistant Professor of Equine Management at ASU.  Mr. Wells, who has been the Director of the ASU Equine Center since August of 2009, talked to us about the general operation of the Equine Center.                                                                           

The club elected the slate of new officers for 2010-2011 by acclamation as submitted by the nominating committee.  The new officers will take office July 1^st.

            March 30     Sandra Taylor and Cory Martin, Craighead Co. Election Commission

The next Car Show Committee meeting will be at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home on March 23 to stuff the goody bags.  We need items for the goody bags and also door prizes.
