President Robert Bahn called the meeting to order at 6:50 a.m.; Tail Twister
Brad Baker did his thing; Lion Ron Erwin (Badge 24) won the pot; Tony Bari
led the song; Baker the pledge; Erwin the prayer.
The March business meeting of the University Heights Lions Club met at the
Chef's In Buffet with 16 members and four guests in attendance. Guests
included Helen Mashburn, guest of Lion Jim Mashburn; Valerie Duncan, art
teacher at International Studies Magnet School; Madison Marshall, winner of
the Lions Peace Poster Contest at her school, and her mother, Monique
A sign-up sheet for workers at the Lions Car Show, March 28-30 was
circulated. Show Chairman Jim Watkins announced that as of Tuesday there are
14 sponsors; nine vendors and 55 vehicles paid.
In the business meeting section of the meeting, Lion Secretary Charles
Hartwig read the minutes from previous Board meeting; Lion Treasurer Ron
Erwin presented the financial report, which showed no problems, and the club
discussed a draft officers list for 2014-15.
