Lions Brad Carson (#44), Bob Draper (#45), Al Frankenberger (#4), Randy Dent (#23), Leon Lee (#11) and Jim Hall (#19) were all absent and Lion Jim Watkins won the pot on the 7th drawing. 4 of these missed members need to come back to our den.
Our attendance was 19 members plus 2 guests. Blake Watkins was a guest of his father Lion Jim Watkins and Norman Dickson was a guest of Lion Jim Mashburn. It was good to have our intrepid song leader back in the den. Lion Don Vineyard we miss you.
As of today, we have 99 cars, 3 motorcycles (104 spaces) 15 sponsors and 3 vendors signed up for our car show. We are coming down to the final week to get sponsors, door prizes and goody bag items. We will meet at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home Monday evening at 6:00 PM to stuff 200 goody bags.
Lion Eric Grant advises our 101 Pin Oak trees are now here. It was suggested each member take 4 or 5 of the trees which are 3 or 4 feet tall and plant them where ever you would like. Any trees left over would be given to the public at our Car Show.
This was our monthly business meeting with the Lion Secretary reading the minutes of the March 15 Board of Directors meeting and our Lion Treasurer giving the financial report of the club. As of February 29, our bank balance was $13,602.94 with $1,379.14 in the Operating Fund and $12,223.80 in the Activity Fund.
