Lion Gary Glisson (#9) won
the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.
Attendance this week was
25 members and 2 guests. Past District Governor and Council
Chairman, Lion Jeff Boone, was a guest of the club.
Our 16th annual
Jonesboro Auto Show was a huge success with 170 cars and
trucks, 12 motorcycles and 8 vendor booths. Chairman Lion Brad
Baker estimates our net profit from the show will be
approximately $14,000. A BIG LIONS ROAR goes to Lion Brad
Baker and the entire Car Show Committee for a job well done.
Our general membership also participated real good Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday.
Our speaker this week was
Judge David Laser. Judge Laser has been the Circuit Judge for
District 9 since 1999. Judge Laser talked about the Craighead
County Drug Court he presides over 2 evenings each week. The
Drug Court is an intensive rehabilitation program for drug and
alcohol law violators and supervised by the court and
probation officers.
Next week we will have Mr.
Jim Dean representing the Boy Scouts of America. How many
Eagle Scouts do we have in our club?
The Nominating Committee
for nominating new officers will be meeting soon. Lion Tommy
White is chairman and the past presidents will serve on the
committee. If you would desire to serve your club next year as

by our next business meeting of April 19.
