[Editorial note: Long-time Newsletter Editor Jim Mashburn has stepped in again this week to provide the Newsletter, when Charles had to miss the weekly meeting. Here it is:]
Lion First Vice President Robert Bahn presided in the absence of President Curt.
Past District Governor Norine Westerback was a guest of PDG Pat Snodgrass. Mr. Marlin Anderson was a guest of Lion Donnie Kissinger. Mr. Danny Cole, with Interstate Batteries, was a guest of Lion Jim Watkins, and Ron Snell and Russ Pierce were both guests of Lion Tony Bari. Lion Tony has a new branch pharmacy located at Hilltop in Bill's Fresh Market.
Lion Larry Hinck (#28) was absent and Lion David Redmon (#34) won the Tail Twister's pot.
Chris Barber, President and CEO of St. Bernards Healthcare, gave us an outstanding program, "St. Bernards Today and Tomorrow." Everyone in attendance enjoyed his talk.
Our Car Show is now only a week and a half away. We need goody bag stuffers and door prizes. If you have not signed up to work. please do so. There is something every member can do to help put the car show on. To date we have $15,000 committed as sponsors. We can use some more. Make contacts with businesses this week. There will be a goody bag stuffing meeting next Tuesday, April 2nd, at 6:30 pm in the Forest Home Church, where all the bags for entrants will be stuffed with prizes and goodies. Everyone is urged to attend -- not just committee members.
We are still needing flag contracts collected. Work your routes for collection of the $35 annual contribution.
Next week's program, scheduled by March program chair Jim Watkins, is:
April 2: Lauren Truitt, from Sam's Club.
