Jim Watkins, with Suddenlink Cable,
was a guest of Lion Jim Mashburn.
Brad Baker, Car Show Chairman, gave
a report of the Car Show. Tentative
figures show an estimated net income
of $11,000 - $12,000. We had very
good participation from the club
members which made a most successful
Cane Days will be next week, April
16 & 17. Sign up next Tuesday for
the time slots you can work. We
usually collect approximately $1,500
on two days worked.
Board of Directors will meet
Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 AM, at
Al’s Restaurant. All board members
are urged to attend. Newly elected
officers also should attend.
speaker this week was Kevan Imboden,
Chairman of the Jonesboro Economic
Development Commission. JEDC works
with its fund raising team,
Jonesboro Unlimited and the
Jonesboro Regional Chamber of
Commerce which promotes economic
development for Jonesboro, Craighead
County and Northeast Arkansas.
Kevan has been employed with
Jonesboro City Water and Light for
the past 18 years.
