Lion Chris Hall (#12) was
absent and Lion Bill Levins (#39) won the Tail Twister’s pot
on the second drawing. Attendance was 22 members, plus 1
guest.
Lion Robert Bahn, who now
resides during the week in Marshfield, MO, was a guest of Lion
Tommy White.
There will be a yard or
garage auction at Dyeann’s House on Saturday, April 30 from
7:00 AM until noon. All items need to be dropped off at
Dyeann’s House by Friday, April 29. After the auction, we will
have a yard clean up work detail. Any item that does not sell
needs to be picked up Saturday afternoon.
Lion Secretary Ken
Stallings read the minutes of the April 14 Board of Directors
meeting in 47 seconds. We had the minutes in seconds by Lion
Ken.
Lion Treasurer Vern Drake
read the Treasurer’s report, which stated a bank balance of
$21,445.47, with the Operating Fund having a balance of
$1,630.43 and the Activity Fund with a balance of $19,815.04.
Lion Vern also gave us a
video presentation of the finances of the Operating Fund and
what to expect in forecasting of club finances during the next
12 months with the present dues structure.
The latest membership
report shows our membership at 36, consisting of 29 regular
members, 3 life members, 1 associate member and 3 members at
large. We are really needing 10 more new regular members.
The State Convention is
May 6-7. Transportation to No. Little Rock will be leaving
Mashburn’s R.V. Center at 6:00 AM Saturday morning and
returning Saturday evening.

The Benton Lions Club is
putting on its 2nd annual golf tournament on May
20, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Longhills Golf Course. The cost is $200
per 4 man team and there will be mulligans available for this
4 man scramble tournament. Lunch will be provided by Smokey
Joes BBQ in Benton. They will have a $10,000 hole-in-one shot.
