Lions Charles Reeves (#41) and
Adam Smith (#12) were absent and Lion Tail Twister Bill Dickens
(#38) won the pot and rolled it over to the club.
Guests this week were Mr.
Keith Blackman, guest of Lion Eric Grant, and Mr. Greg Chance
with KASU. Attendance was 29 members and 3 guests.
Keep Lion Jim McAlister in
your prayers as he undergoes chemo treatment for prostate
cancer. Lion Jim will be going on member-at-large status until
next fall, after he returns from Michigan.
A big Lions Roar for the
work Lion Gary Glisson did on publishing our club directory. See
Lion Gary if you did not receive a copy.
Time is drawing near for the
State Convention in North Little Rock, May 7 & 8. See Lion Ed
Larson for registration. The club will pay the registration fee.
The Dyeann’s House Open
House last Saturday was a huge success. There were 300 to 400
people visiting Dyeann’s House and Mayor Brodell proclaimed the
week of April 17 - 24 as Dyeann’s House week. Dyeann’s House
received donations of more than $5,500 during the open house.
Our program this week was
given by Dr. Jane Jamison talking about the State Education Act
35 and testing of students on the Benchmark Examination with
requirements for remedial studies for students who do not score
certain levels on the Benchmark Exams.

officers are urged to attend the state convention. Next Board of
Directors meeting will be Thursday, May 6 at the Cracker Barrel
Restaurant at 6:30 A.M. All members are invited to attend the
board meeting.
