UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS LIONS CLUB Tuesday - April 20, 2010   This was our regular monthly business meeting.  Attendance was 18 members present with no visitors.   Lion Secretary Pat read the minutes of the April 15 Board of Directors meeting and Lion Treasurer Ron gave the club financial report.  As of March 31, our bank balance was $32,074.43 with $3,968.26 in the Operating Fund and $28,106.17 in the Activity Fund.   Lion Brad Baker presented a video about Mid South Lion Sight and Hearing Services which had testimonies from patients Mid South has provided sight and hearing services.   One of Ann’s Restaurant waitresses suffered a tragic loss Monday Night.  Susan Moore lost her home and all belongings in a house fire.  Regina has started a fund drive for contributions.  Keep her in your prayers.   Our newest members, Lions Bob Draper and Ron McCormick, were inducted into our club by VP Brad Baker.  Congratulations to Lions Bob and Ron for joining the best Lions Club in Arkansas.  We look forward to many years of service and fellowship with each of you.  Now each of you go out and invite a prospective member to join our club.  See picture.   Still no final figures on the Car Show project.  Lion Vern estimates the net income will be about $10 to $12 thousand dollars.  The dates for next years car show will be March 25, 26, and 27th.
