We had four members attending the state convention last week end in Little Rock, Lions Brad Baker, Pat Snodgrass, Charles Hartwig and David Redmon. There were 115 voting delegates attending the convention. Three items voted on were the appointment of district officers before June 1, to re-instate the Mid Winter Conference and the redistricting from 4 sub districts to 2 sub districts. The first two amendments passed and the third amendment was ruled unconstitutional. The redistricting amendment will be presented at the next state meeting.
The Arkansas Lions Mid Winter Conference will be in Hot Springs in December 2010 and the State Convention will be in Jonesboro the first weekend of May 2011.
Two new clubs have been formed in our district – McCrory and Batesville. The McCrory Charter night will be this Saturday, May 1st.
Lion Cade Wilson will be our speaker next Tuesday.
Put the date of June 29 on your calendar for our Installation of Officers and Awards banquet.
