Lion Mark Poe (#21) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.

Allen Deverevx was a guest of Lion Jerry Garrett, we had 29 members and 2 guests in attendance.

Next week is our annual spring White Cane Day at the Highland Drive Wal Mart Store on Thursday and Friday may 13^th & 14^th. The duty roster sign up sheet will be passed around again next Tuesday. Sign up to work at least 1 time slot on Thursday or Friday. We need four Lions working each time slot. If you can work more than 1 slot that would be great. This is one of our main fund raising projects and every member is needed. Lion Gary Glisson is our White Cane Chairman. We need to raise $1,825 to meet our budget for White Cane this year.

Our program this week was given by Mrs. Kim Mosley with Mid-America Transplant Services. There are currently 84,000+ people on the waiting list for a lifesaving transplant. There are more than 15 people that will die every day waiting for a transplant. We encourage everyone to sign your drivers license to be an organ donor and discuss with our family to make sure your wishes to be a donor are honored. There is no cost to the donors family. Organ and tissue donation is a gift.

The Board of Directors Thursday voted to reduce our pledges to LWSB and Mid South from $5,000 to $4,000 each this year due to a shortfall in our Activity Fund income.
