Lion Tommy White (#25) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.
Our attendance was 18 members and no guests present.
Mid South Lions Sight and Hearing Services acknowledged the receipt of $245.07 which was the final receipts from the sale of Dyeann’s House.
Our regular monthly Board of Directors meeting will be next Thursday, May 13, at 6:30 AM at Ann’s Restaurant. All board members, both new and present members, are urged to attend.
Our next Flag Day will be May 31 for Memorial Day. If you have any flag brackets that need attention, advise Lions Bill Levins or Eric Grant. This is an excellent time to sell new flag contacts - $35.00 for 10 to 12 times flying the flags per year.
Our program this week was our own Lion Dr. Cade Wilson. Lion Cade talked to us about macular degeneration with early detection and treatment. Two types of AMD are Dry AMD and Wet AMD. Usually dry AMD does not cause severe vision loss. However, wet AMD will result in rapid, severe and permanent vision loss. Lion Cade also talked about cataract surgery and the possible elimination of eye glasses after having the cataracts removed. |
