Hartwig (#51) won the Tail Twisterís pot on the
first drawing. We had an attendance of 19 members
plus 1 guest.
Thanks to all the
members who showed up for work on Dyeannís House and
breakfast last Saturday morning. Lion Pat served
breakfast and everybody had a good time doing spring
housekeeping and cleaning up the yard.
With the ticket
sales for the Holland Apex Grill, to date we have
sold enough tickets to cover the cost of the grill.
So every ticket we sell by the June 30 drawing will
be 100% for Dyeannís House.

for Lion Ed Larson and make a visit soon. Ed and

Our speaker this
week was Becky McDaniel, Director of St Bernardís
Sr. Life Center located at 700 E Washington. It is
open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with
extended hours on Monday and Thursday until 9:00 PM.
The services and activities are for all seniors age
60 or over. Meals are served daily for only $1.50 or
$3.00 if not aged 60. The Sr. Center provides
transportation needed for any senior and the
delivery of hot meals to shut-ins. There are many
programs and activities the Sr. Center provides

Pat Snodgrass who reports we now have 3 Leo Clubs in
our district. The Manila Leo Club has 31 members.
The Board of
Directors meeting is next week May 15 at Couchís
Restaurant 6:30 AM. All board members are urged to
attend. A new slate of club officers will be
presented. Also, the budgetary items in the Activity
Fund will be funded according to the Treasurerís
