Our Tail Twister Lion Brad Baker (#50) won the pot. Did anyone actually see his number drawn?

Guests this week were Dr. Jerry Wilcox, a guest of Lion Charles Hartwig; also, Mr. Chris Evans, with Liberty Bank, was a guest of Lion Tommy White and Payton Glisson was a guest of his father, Lion Gary Glisson.

It was good to see two of our Members at Large present - Lions Charles Reeves and Jim Hall. Club attendance this week was 25 members and 4 guests.

We are sorry to announce the death of another great Lion of Arkansas. Lion James M. Fowler Past President of Lions International passed away in Hot Springs on May 2. He served as president of our International Association of Lions Clubs in 1983-84.

Thanks to Lion Gary Glisson for updating our Club Directory. We are really going to miss Lion Gary when he moves to Cabot. He has also set the dates of May 25 & 26 as our next White Cane Days. Sign up sheets will be available next meeting.

Our program this week was different than usual and enjoyed by all the membership. Mr. Rusty Shields, a senior ASU Voice major from Osceola presented a musical program. He also talked about the ASU Choir trip to Europe where they visited Prague, Czech Republic, Warsaw and Krakow, Poland where they presented concerts. He sings in several languages and also plays the tuba and other instruments in the band. We could use him to improve our singing each week.

Scheduled programs:
May 16 Business meeting
May 23 Jason Whitley, Manager of The Mall at Turtle Creek
May 30 Dr. Al Langlois, ASU Professor talking about his Cajun friends from New
Roads, LA
