Tuesday - May 10, 2005
Lions Ruby Broggon (28) and
PID Scott Rennels (43) were absent and Lion Tony Bari (10)
won the Tail Twister’s pot.
Our only guest was Mr.
K. Rex Mayfield by his sponsor Lion Bill Levins. Our
attendance was 22 members and 1 guest.
Congratulations to the
newly married couple. Lion Brian and Irene Ulmer were
married last Saturday night. Best wishes for a long and
happy lift together.
Good news to our club
from Western Sizzlin, the management of Western Sizzlin has
agreed to reduce the price of our breakfast from $5.40 to
$5.00 and reduce the guarantee from 35 to 30 plates. This
will help the club approximately $300.00 per year. If you
see any of the owners of Western Sizzlin express your
appreciation of this reduction.
This is White Cane week
and we need more workers. If you have not signed up please
call Lion Gary Glisson at 870-897-1899. We will be
collecting on Thursday & Friday at the Highland Drive Wal
Mart Store.
Our Dyeann’s House will
be having its 2nd Annual Open House this
Saturday, May 14 from 9 AM to 3 PM. This is a fun, food, and
fellowship event. Bring the kids and have fun Saturday at
Dyeann’s House.
In the absence of our
speaker, Lion Tony Bari gave the club a most interesting
program about the Ivory Billed Woodpecker and also
information concerning Medicare Part "D". It was one of our
best programs of the year. Lion Tony added a lot of his dry
humor to his talk.
Next week will be our
regular business meeting.
