Lion Janine Helman
(#16) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the first
drawing and paid everyone’s fine. Our attendance was
17 members present.
Weather permitting,
we will fly the flags for Memorial Day, Monday May
26. Sign up next week for your favorite flag route.
The Board of
Directors will meet this Thursday, May 15, at
Couch’s Restaurant at 6:30 AM.
Lion Pat Snodgrass
still has plenty of tickets for the Holland Grill
for Dyeann’s House. The Grill has been paid for and
all tickets we sell now is 100% profit for Dyeann’s
House.
Our speaker this
week was Linda Haynes with the Arkansas Department
of Health & Human Services, Division of Services for
the Blind. The Division of Services for the Blind
works with our club in screening applicants that
make application for glasses and other sight
services. Linda has been with the Services for the
Blind for 14 years and 19 years with the Department
of Health & Human Services. The office for Services
for the Blind is located in the Arkansas Services
Center Building, 2920 McClellan Drive, Room 1106.
There are 9 such offices in Arkansas serving the
blind. Robert Lamb and Nita Simmons are the two
counselors helping to serve people with sight
problems in Northeast Arkansas.
Next Tuesday is our
monthly business meeting.
