Lion Tail Twister Bill Dickens (#38) won the pot.  Question? How do the Tail Twisters win the pot more that any other member?  Our attendance was 18 members plus 4 guests.

We had the pleasure of having two 4-H students to give us a program on horse identification and farm tractor safety.  Jaci Harmon, a Jonesboro High School student, talked about horse identification and Brent Files, a student at Valley View High School talked about farm tractor safety.  Both students are members of the Craighead County 4-H Team Leaders Association.

This was our regular monthly business meeting.  Lion Secretary Pat read the minutes of the May 14 Board of Directors meeting and Lion Treasurer Tommy read the financial report.  As of April 30, our bank balance was $20,173.96 with $5,702.11 in the Operating Fund and $14,471.95 in the Activity Fund with an additional deposit of $4,002.00 from the Convocation Center received last week.

Lion Jim Watkins has volunteered to serve the remaining 2 year term of Lion Marcy Harrell as Director.  The next meeting of our Board of Directors will be Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 AM at Al’s Restaurant.

Our program next week will be our own Lion Charles Hartwig, “Zanzibar: A Trip to the Spice Islands” – a trip he made in December.
