Lion Bobby Wood (#35) won the Tail
Twister’s pot on the first drawing. Lion First Vice President
Eric Grant presided in the absence of Lion President Tommy
White.
District Governor Jeff Boone
was our only visitor. Attendance was 25 members plus 3 guests.
Lion Ken Helman announced
there will be a vacancy on the Dyeann’s House Board of Directors
as Lion Scott Rennels term is expiring. The position is to be
appointed from the membership of our club. If you desire to be a
board member for our Dyeann’s House please contact Lion Ken
Helman.
Next Monday, May 31 is
Memorial Day and weather permitting we will fly the flags. As of
Tuesday morning we had two routes open. Call Lion Mark Poe if
you can work a flag route.
Mr. Scott Hancock and Mr.
Bob Schuchardt were our speakers this week talking about the
Craighead County Community Foundation. The Craighead County
Community Foundation is affiliated with the Arkansas Community
Foundation. The Craighead County community Foundation will have
assets in excess of $600,000 by July 1st. Gifts and
grants in excess of $86,000 will be made in Craighead County
this year.
Next Tuesday Mr. Guy
Enchelmayer will be our speaker for the Craighead County Solid
Waste Disposal Authority.
The regular Board of
Directors meeting will be Thursday, June 3rd, 6:30 AM
at Cracker Barrel Restaurant. All new and present board members
need to attend this meeting.
