(#16) left early and Lion David Hamilton (#12) was
absent. Lion Bill Levins (#39) won the pot.
Attendance was 19 members and two guests.
We had one guest,
Jerry Casteel who was a guest of his brother-in-law,
Lion Bill Levins.
Thanks to all those
members who worked flag routes last Monday. Our next
flag day will be Saturday, June 14, for U S Flag
We still have
Holland Apex Grill tickets to sell. The drawing will
be June 30. Each member is asked to sell at least 10
tickets. Lion Pat Snodgrass has the tickets.
The date for our
Awards and Installation of new Officers has been
changed to June 24 at 6:30 PM at the Whole Hog
Restaurant. Put this date on your calendar. There
will not be a breakfast meeting on that day.
Our speaker this
week was Travis Eddleman, Park Interpreter for Old
Davidsonville State Park. Old Davidsonville dates
back to 1815 and could be called the "Birthplace of
Arkansas". Davidsonville was established in 1815 as
the seat of Lawrence County which is Arkansasís
first courthouse, post office and land office. It is
located in Randolph County near the confluence of
the Black River and the Eleven Point and Spring
Rivers. A nice place to go picnicking, camping,
fishing, boating and canoe rentals.
Next Tuesday our
program will be a representative from FEMA-Office of
Letís strive to
enlist new members during the month of June before
our current Lion year ends. We presently have 34
members including 6 members at large or affiliate
