Thanks to all members who worked White Cane last week and those who put out flags for Memorial Day on Monday. Our next flag day will be June 14 for Flag Day.
The Board of Directors meeting will be Thursday, June 8 at 6:30 AM at Couch’s Restaurant. All newly elected and present board members need to attend this final board meeting of this Lion year. Our new officers will be installed at our Installation and Awards banquet on Tuesday, June 20, at 6:30 PM at Western Sizzlin. Everyone will go through the line and order, paying at the register for whatever you order. Our Past International Director Lion Scott Rennels will be the installing officer and speaker.
Our speaker this week was Dr. Al Langlois, Retired ASU Professor of Horticulture. Dr. Langlois is a native of New Roads, Louisiana and was raised on a south Louisiana sugar plantation. Everyone enjoyed his Cajun stories about his friend Boudreaux.
