the winner of the pot.
Guests this week were Mr.
Jerry Casteel, guest of Lion Bill Levins and Mr. Greg Chance
with KASU. Attendance was 27 members and 3 guests.
Thanks to all members who
worked flag routes this past Monday. They looked great. Our next
flag day is June 14th for Flag Day. We need to sell
more flag contracts. Contact those merchants and businesses that
have not subscribed to our flag service. Flag service costs the
business $35.00 per year and we guarantee 10 days a year to
display the flags.

Mr. Guy Enchelmier, Director
of the Craighead County Solid Waste Authority was our speaker
this week. Mr. Enchelmier has been the director of this agency
since 1995. The Craighead County Solid Waste Authority handles
310 tons of waste per day. Mr. Enchelmier discussed the general
operation of the land fill and also discussed the recycling of
materials and the income derived from recycling of glass and
aluminum.
Lion David Redmon has been
appointed to serve as a director on the board of Dyeann’s House,
replacing Lion Scott Rennels whose term has expired.
The annual awards banquet
and installation of officers will be June 29 @ 6:30 PM at
Western Sizzlin (dutch treat).
Our speaker next week will
be Mr. Sam Long, speaking on the subject of Industrial and
Commercial Ministries. We will also have a short business
meeting.
