Our Sight & Hearing Chairman reported during the past 12 months, we received 174 applicants, 118 approved for glasses and 5 referred to Mid-South for hearing. Total paid out to date has been $7,015.72. Several letters have not been used. Lion Bill Levins does a great job as our Sight and Hearing Chairman.
Our program this week was given by our own Lion Curt Hodges and the Managing Editor, Maria Flora, of The Jonesboro Sun. They talked about how the news is reported each day and answered several questions as to the operations of our home town newspaper. The citizens of Jonesboro are fortunate to have The Sun in the reporting news of local, state, national and worldwide happenings.
