Lions Marvin Schroedel (#8)
and Faris Lassister (#260) were absent and Lion Pat Snodgrass
(#31) won the Tail Twister’s pot.
Guests this week were Lion
Jim Gunter from the Hope Lions Club a guest or Lion Jim Mashburn
and Mr. Bob Harris with Ad/Pro Video Productions was a guest of
Lion Brad Baker. Attendence this week was down to 23 members and
3 guests. Invite guests next week.
We have been advised that
the Jonesboro United Way has made a pledge of $2,500 to our
Dyeann’s House.
Remember the Awards and
Installation of Officers banquet will be Tuesday, June 29 at
6:30 P.M. at Western Sizzlin. This will be a dutch treat meal,
bring your spouse or friend and enjoy a good meal, fun and
fellowship with your Lions Club. Any guest or prospective member
is welcome. There will not be a breakfast meeting that morning.
Our speaker this week was
Mr. Tommy Nesmith who serves as a marshall for the PGA tours.
Tommy had a nice video presentation of the Augusta Masters PGA
Tournament this past April. The Augusta, Georgia Golf Course is
really beautiful and something to visit whether or not you are a
golfer.
Next Tuesday our speaker
will be Mr. Curt Huckaby, Coach of the ASU Rugby Team. He will
be talking about our ASU Championship Rugby Team.
Lion Incoming President Eric
Grant will soon be making up new committee rosters. If you would
like to work on any certain committee next year please advise
Lion Eric or one of our Vice Presidents — Bill Levins, Gary
Glisson or Ken Helman.
