Lion Joe George (#47) was absent and Lion Albert Frankenberger (#4) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the second drawing.
Our attendance this week was 19 members plus 1 guest. Past District Governor Norine Westerbeck was a guest of PDG Pat Snodgrass. Lion Norine advises the National Camp for Blind Children will be in Hot Springs July 5 – 12. Our club contributes $500 each year for this worthy project for blind children.
This was our regular monthly business meeting. Lion Charles Hartwig read the minutes of the June 11 board meeting and Lion Treasurer Tommy White gave the financial report. As of May 31, our bank balance was $12,979.74 with $7,348.19 in the Activity Fund and $5,631.55 in the Operating Fund.
Saturday, July 4, is our next Flag day. See Lion Vern for a list of flag subscribers on your route that have not paid the $35.00 for their flag service.
Our Installation of New Officers and Awards Banquet will be Tuesday, June 30, at 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn. The club will pay for each member and guest attending the banquet. Let’s have a good turnout for our banquet. District Governor John Blackley will be the installing officer. There will not be a breakfast meeting on that day.
Mr. John Goodman with Nice-Pak will be our speaker on June 21.
Lion Brad Baker and Lioness Mona will be attending the 92nd Annual Lions Clubs International Convention on July 6-10 in Minneapolis, MN, as a delegate from our club.
