This being our
monthly business meeting, the minutes of the June 12
Board of Directors meeting were read by Lion PDG Pat
Snodgrass. Lion Vern Drake read the financial
report. As of March 31, our bank balance was
$13,272.49 with $4,801.23 in the Operating Fund and
$8,471.26 in the Activity Fund.
The Awards and
Installation of New Officers Banquet will be next
Tuesday evening at The Wild Hog Restaurant at 6:30
PM. A motion was made and passed to have the club
foot the expense for the banquet. There will not be
any extra charge for members and their guests for
the dinner. With a balance of $4,800 in the
Operating Fund, it was decided that the club could
well afford the extra meal cost of the banquet. So,
letís have 100% attendance for the Awards and
Installation Banquet. Call Lion Ron Erwin if you
have not signed up to attend. There will not be a
breakfast meeting that morning.
All members are
asked to bring a sack of canned goods to be donated
to The Helping Neighbors Food Pantry to the banquet
next Tuesday. They are especially in need of peanut

letter of appreciation from the Director of Leader
Dogs for the Blind for our contribution of $750.00.

Next week Lions
from all over the globe will be traveling to
Bangkok, Thailand for the 2008 International
Convention, June 23-27. Lions International , as of
February 30, 2008, had 1,301,550 members in 44,594
clubs and 751 districts in 202 countries and
