Lion # 27, ?? was absent
and Lion Albert Frankenberger #4 won the Tail Twister’s pot
on the second draw. After paying a $1 fine for not wearing a
pin and paying the fines for the center tables, he netted
about 25 cents.
The only guest this week
was David Redmond.
Lion Brad Baker bragged
on his daughter Lonna for winning a golf tournament in
Blytheville for her age group.
President-elect Bill
Levins held a Finance Committee meeting at his house on
Thursday the 23rd at 6:30 at his house at 2811 Wood St.
Dolstrom award winners
met after the meeting to select this years award winners.
This was our business
meeting. Minutes of the June 16th board meeting were read by
secretary Ed Larson. Highlights of the minutes include
approval of a $4,500 gift to Dyeann’s house and $1,000 gift
to the ASU Scholarship Fund. The board also reaffirmed the
policy of not having political candidates for programs.
Lion Vern gave the
treasurers report. The activity fund balance is $10,854.49
before the above listed donations were made. The operatiing
fund balance is $ 1,185.70.
Dyeann’s House is
presently taking applications for an administrator/house
parent. At the present time, Lioness Debbie Rennels and
others are running the day to day operations with no
interruptions of the service we are giving.

meeting next week.
The awards banquet will
start at 6:30 PM at Western Sizzlin on Tuesday June 28.
