Our annual Awards and Installation banquet was well attended by 15 members with 18 guests. Lion Bob Draper (#45) was the winner of the Tail Twister’s pot. The following members were presented with 100% Attendance awards:

Lion David Hamilton was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award by Past International Director Lion Freddie Joyce.
Lion Brad Baker presented the following Lions with International President’s Certificate of Appreciation – Lions Pat Snodgrass, Bill Levins, Ron Erwin and to the Suddenlink Communications for their assistance with our club projects. Lion of the Quarter Awards were made to Lions Albert Frankenberger and Charles Hartwig.
Lion of the Year Award was presented to Lion Pat Snodgrass.
Past International Director Freddie Joyce gave a humorous keynote speech and installed the new club officers for 2010-11.
Lion Charles Hartwig will be our Program Chairman for the month of July. He has the following programs scheduled:
July 6 – Mikel Fears, “Suddenlink Business Services.”
July 13 – Dr Hans Hacker and student members of the ASU Moot Court Team, Moot Courts Explanations and Demonstration.”
July 20 – Business Meeting
July 27 – Cindy Grisham, “Searching for Martha Stalker: Uncovering the Lives of Women in History.” (Martha Stalker was the “Founding Mother” of Tyronza, Arkansas. This will be a short version of the talk that Ms. Grisham, an ASU PhD Heritage Studies student, gave to a full house during Arkansas Month at the Old State House Museum in Little Rock last month) This be a great day for a concentrated push for women guests.
Remember, we are putting out the flags this week on Friday, July 2 and not picking them up until after 6:00 PM, Monday, July 5.
