UH Lions Newsletter for July 2, 2013 meeting held at Fat City Restaurant. UH
Lions President Robert Bahn conducted his first meeting of the new 'Lions
Year' and called the meeting to order at 6:50 a.m.  The meeting was held at
the new Fat City Grille as the Chef's In, the regular meeting place, was
closed for vacation and will remain closed for next week's meeting on July
9.There were 19 members present and two guests, Kenny Bateman. Guest of
Robert Bahn and Jerry Casteel, guest of Bill Levins

McCormick led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and Lion Jim
Watkins led the prayer.

General announcements:  Flag Day is July 4, Thursday; the Sight Committee
will meet to talk about the SPOT screening camera and recommended purchasing
a printer to use with the screening device.  Lion Vernon Drake finally

chairman of the car show.

Lion Charles Hartwig, July program chairman, introduced the speaker, Steve
Ewart, director of the Jonesboro Economical Transportation System (JETS).
The city transportation system recently turned 7, Ewart said.  The Power
