Lion Charles Hartwig (#51) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the
fifth drawing.
Guests this week were
Jason Holder a guest of Lion K. Rex Mayfield, Beau Honeycutt
a guest of Lion Ken and Janine Helman, Randy Dent a quest of
Lion Tommy White and Payton Glisson a guest of his father
Lion Gary Glisson. Beau has turned in his membership
application.
Attendance this week was
23 members plus 4 guests.
The July Board meeting
will be this Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 am at Couches.
Lion Treasurer Vern
Drake handed out statements for club dues.
The song was led by our
intrepid (fearless, adventurous) song leader Don Vineyard,
the pledge was by Jerry Garrett, and the prayer by Ken
Stallings.
Brags - Lion Tony Bari’s
daughter was recently recognized for her work as an intern
at the Los Angeles Museum.
Past President Eric
Grant handed out Certificates of Appreciation to Past
Secretary Ken Stallings, and attendance pins to Tommy White
- 7 years, Pat Snodgrass - 11 years, Bill Hester - 14 years
and Don Vineyard - 36 years.
Lion Ken Helman thanked
those who helped with the clean up at Dyeann’s House last
Saturday.
Our program this week
was Mrs. Barbara Pitcock with The Learning Center. The
Learning Center evolved from the combination of the Cottage
of Hope and the John T. Grey School. It serves over 250
developmentally disabled children (ages birth to 5 years)
and adults from three campuses and at their homes.
Next Tuesday will be our
business meeting.
On July 26th
the program will be Steve Singleton discussing Current
Trends in Education.
