Lion Larry Hinck (#28) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.  Our attendance was 20 members plus 5 guests.  Guests were Charlene Bari and her father Charles Imboden who were guests of Lion Tony Bari and ASU Professor Clyde  Milner and  Les Hunter, husband of speaker Margie Hunter.

This Saturday, July 18, is the date of our auction of contents of our Dyeann’s House.  The auction will commence at 9:00 AM.  Lion Tommy White and Ron Irwin are in charge of the auction.  Clifford Toney will be the auctioneer.  Tell your friends about this fund raiser for Dyeann’s House.

Lion Brad Baker gave a report about the Lions International Convention which he and Lioness Mona attended in Minneapolis last week.  He also stated that August 1 is the deadline for pre-registration to attend the USA/Canada Leadership Forum which will be in Memphis September 24 – 26.  This is a great opportunity for our membership to attend a Lions leadership forum so close to home.  Workers will be needed to help put the forum on.  See Lion Brad for an assignment.

Our speaker this week was Marjorie Hunter concerning Great Depression Photos which tell the morbid story of the lives of people in the Delta region of Arkansas.  The photo exhibit will be on display at the Southern Tenant Farmers’ Museum in Tyronza until July 22 and also it will be at the ASU Library during the month of August.

It was good to see Lion Ken Stallings back in our den this week.
