Lion Tony Bari
(#10) was the winner of the Tail Twister’s pot on
the first drawing.
Lonna Baker was a
guest of her father Lion Brad Baker. Our attendance
was 25 members plus 2 guests.
The Lions of
Arkansas District 7-0 are selling wrist bands for
$1.00 to $5.00 donation to Lions International
Campaign Sight First II. Lions Pat Snodgrass and Ed
Larson have the wrist bands to sell.
The Car Show
Committee met Tuesday night with eight in
attendance. The show dates for the 2008 Car Show
have been set for March 28, 29, & 30. It was
unanimously decided to have the show at the
Convocation Center. Sale of vendor booths and
sponsorships are of the utmost importance to have a
profitable and successful show. The next meeting of
the Car Show
Committee will be
August 14.
Mr. Ron Bowen,
Manager of City Water & Light was our speaker this
week. He gave us a good insight of the operations of
City Water & Light. Mr. Bowen has been with CWL all
his adult life and manager since 1996. CWL has 180
employees and Jonesboro is most fortunate to have
CWL as our primary energy source with most
competitive electric rates.
