Car Show Chairman Lion Brad Baker has set Tuesday, August 22, 7:00 PM at Forest Home Church of the Nazarene for the first car show committee meeting. All Car Show Committee members and any other member who wants to meet are welcome to attend.
Lion Billy Joe Emerson was our speaker this week. In 1932, when Billy Joe was 3 years old his family moved from Mississippi to Jonesboro, AR and his father founded the Emerson Funeral Home. There have been a lot of changes in Jonesboro since that time and Billy Joe talked about Jonesboro during the time of the war in the 40's and the early days of the funeral home business. He also had information published by the Department of Veterans Affairs of all the wars in which our country participated and the number of casualties of each conflict.
