Our speaker this week was Glenda McGinnis, Sr Animal Control Officer for the City of Jonesboro. McGinnis talked about animal control and the challenges that are faced daily in the city by the officers who must address all kinds of animal abuse and cruelty as well as strays – both dogs and cats. She also noted that pet adoptions are increasing, assisted by internet listings. She invited all members to come by and visit the new facilities we have for animal control in Jonesboro.

August 30 – Norm Judd, Fitness and Programs Manager for St. Bernard’s Health and Wellness Institute
Remember Monday September 5 is Flag Day for Labor Day. For the next two weeks we need to get out and contact our flag customers to collect past due accounts. Our Activity Fund account is in real need for more funds. Our flag project can once again be one of our main fund raising projects taking the place of our White Can Days at Wal Mart.
We are having some interesting programs so invite a prospective member to visit. See you next Tuesday!!!
