Lion Cade Wilson
(#27) was absent and Lion Marcy Harrell (#17) won
the Tail Twister’s pot on the second drawing.
Attendance was 21 members present.
While our Flag
Project Chairman, Lion Dave Redmon is vacationing in
Hawaii, we will be putting up the flags on Labor
Day, September 1. All the routes have been signed
for.
White Cane
Chairman, Lion Don Vineyard, advised he has made
arrangements with Wal-Mart to have our White Cane
Days on Thursday & Friday, September 25th
working 1 1/2 hour shifts from 3:00 to 9:00 PM. It
will take every member working to man the two doors
at Wal-Mart.
This was our
regular monthly business meeting. Secretary Lion
Pat Snodgrass read the minutes of the Board of
Directors meeting for August 14th and
Lion Treasurer Lion Tommy White gave the financial
report which stated a bank balance of $11,495.29
with $4,795.03 in the Operating Fund and $6,700.26
in the Activity Fund.
There will be a Car
Show Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 9th
at 7:00 PM at the Forest Home Church. The dates of
our 2009 Car Show are April 3, 4, and 5th.
Board meeting for
Dyean’s House is Thursday, August 28 at Dyean’s
House.
Date for our Lions
Club Auction is December 13.
Next Tuesday will
be a good time to invite a guest or prospective
member. Our speaker will be ASU Head Football Coach
Steve Roberts.
