Our number 1 Lion, Lion Dale
McKinney won the Tail Twister’s pot this week on the first
drawing.
Guests this week were
Mayoralty Candidate Dan Pierce, a guest of Lion Tommy White,
also Greg Chance with KASU a guest of the club. Rebecca Peoples
Assistant ASU Women’s Basketball Coach and Paul Burrow President
of the Lady Indians Fast Break Club were guests of Lions Bobby
Wood and Leon Lee. Our attendance this week was 26 members and 5
guests.
Our program this week was
Coach Brian Boyer giving a prospectus of the 2004-05 team and
the teams schedule to play. The first exhibition game to be
played is Harding University on November 4th followed
by a game against Ouachita University on November 9th.
Support your Lady Indians by purchasing season tickets. Last
year the Lady Indians had a record of 10 - 4 and tied for 1st
place in the Sun Belt East Division.
A BIG Lions Roar goes to
Lions Bill Levins and Jerry Garrett and Lamar Outdoor
Advertising Co. for erecting two nice bill-boards advertising
our Dyeann’s House, one on Harrisburg Road and the other on East
Highland Drive.
There will be a Car Show
Committee meeting next Tuesday evening August 31st at
7:00 PM at the Forrest Home Church on the Nazerene. All members
of the club are invited to attend.
More ASU Basketball next
week! ASU Men’s Basketball Coach will be our speaker next
Tuesday. This will be an excellent time to bring a guest to your
club.
