We have two flag days this month – September 5th for Labor Day and September 11 for Patriots Day. The same workers that have signed up to work Labor Day will also work Patriots Day. If you have a conflict on these days, please advise Lion Pat Snodgrass or get a substitute to work in your place. Patriots Day this year falls on Sunday.
Our club made a contribution of $50.00 to the new East Lawrence County Lions Club to help get that club started.
White Cane Days will be next week September 8 & 9 at the Wal Mart Store on Parker Road. At last tally, we needed several workers to fill out the duty roster. If you have not signed up, please do so next Tuesday. Our budget for each White Cane Days is $1,000. In the past we have collected approximately $1,500 in two days.
Flag money is coming in nicely. Keep up the good work and let’s have all our subscribers current by the end of September.
