Lion Vern Drake (#13) was absent and Lion Larry Hinck (#28) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the second drawing.
Our attendance was 17 members plus 3 guests.
This is White Cane week, Thursday and Friday at Kroger starting at 2:30. Also this Saturday, September 11, is Patriot Day and weather permitting we will fly the flags.
The District 7-0 Fall conference will be on October 15 & 16. We will have a hospitality room on Friday at the Quality Suites Motel, 2909 Kazi St. and the conference will be at the St. Bernards Auditorium with registration beginning at 8 AM.
It has been reported that Lion Dale McKinney is in the NEA Baptist Hospital in ICU. Let’s all remember Lion Dale in our prayers and wish him a speedy recovery.
The date for our Lions TV Auction has been set to be December 11. It’s not too early to start getting items for the auction.
We had a real interesting program this week from the Little Rock Air Force Base. SM Sgt. Bob Russell, Jr, M Sgt.(Ret) Christopher D. Hunkel and Janette Botchelor from the LRAFB showed a video concerning the Thunder Over the Rock Air Show which will be taking place on the LRAFB in Jacksonville, AR, on Saturday, October 9 and Sunday October 10. This year’s air show performers will include the UASF Thunderbirds, US Army Golden Knights and the Canadian Air Force Sky Hawks. Admission and parking is free.
