Next Monday, October 8, is Columbus Day and weather permitting, we will fly the flags. Lion Pat Snodgrass advises there are several of our flag service subscribers that are in arrears with their accounts and have been dropped. When putting out the flags, please notice the flag route changes.
Next Tuesday, October 9, is the date that we will meet at 6:00 PM for our first evening meeting. This is to kick off our membership drive, so invite prospective members to this meeting. We would hope to have 40 people present. Wives and daughters may be some to invite as prospective members. The club will pick up the tab for the meals from the food bar.
Board of Directors meeting will be next Thursday, October 11 at Couch’s Restaurant at 6:30 AM.
The next Car Show Committee meeting will be Tuesday,
October 30 at Forest Home Church of the Nazarene at 7:00 PM.

Our speaker this week was Sherry Carter representing the Craighead County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol and the Miracle Rodeo. This is the 10th year for the Miracle Rodeo to be Saturday, October 27. Workers are needed to help put on the show and assist the approximately 100 special needs and handicapped students that will participate in the simulated rodeo. Approximately 500 volunteers are needed from 9:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM. Please call Sherry Carter at 932-9538 for more information.
