Lion Jerry Garrett (#7)
was the lucky winner of the Tail Twister’s pot on the
first drawing. There were no guests and our attendance
was 21 members.
Remember Lion Bobby Wood in your prayers as he
recovers from a heart operation where he received four

There will be an Auction Committee meeting next
Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the Forest Home Church
of the Nazarene. Also, on Tuesday, October 18, there
will be a Car Show Committee meeting at the Forest
Home Church of the Nazarene at 7:00 PM. If you are on
either of these important committees, please attend.
Next Thursday, October 13 (1st Thursday
after the 2nd Tuesday) is the date of our
next board meeting. Board meetings are always open to
any club member. This will be at Couch’s Restaurant at
Our program this week was our PDG Pat Snodgrass
showing pictures of his trip to the 88th
Lions International Convention in Hong Kong the last
week of June. It was estimated there were more that
30,000 people attending the convention and voting
registrants totaled 15,170 Lions. Lion Pat had some
outstanding pictures he shared with the club. The 2006
International Convention is slated to be held in New
Orleans, July 10-14, but it may have to be relocated.
The contest deadlines are approaching for the
2005-06 Lions International Peace Poster Contest,
"Peace Without Borders". November 15 is the deadline
for a club sponsoring the Peace Poster Contest to send
a winning poster to the district governor.
Lions Bill Hester and Ron Erwin are our program
chairmen this month. They have the following programs
