Lion Bill Levins (#39) won the
Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.
Guests this week were Lion Jim
Gunter, Past District Governor from Hope Lions Club and Payton
Glisson, guest of his father, Lion Gary Glisson. Our attendance was
26 members plus 3 guests.
Continue to pray for Lion Mark
Poe’s father who had heart surgery last week and is still
hospitalized at St. Bernard’s.
Lion Brad Baker advises we are
still needing items and sponsors for our TV Auction which is now
only 4 weeks away. Board sponsorships (one fifteen minute segment)
are $100 and Event Sponsorships (all day) are $500. This is free
money, so sell, sell, sell those sponsorships. We have a suggestion
list of auction items and an introductory letter to the merchants,
plus posters you can give when asking for a donation. Get these
materials next Tuesday. Also, give the merchant a Mid-South Lions
Auction Donor Receipt when you receive an item for auction from the
merchant. Let’s all get behind this project and have a successful
auction.
Our program this week was
presented by Mrs. Maryce Cunningham, representing Cox
Communications. Mrs. Cunningham talked about all the services Cox
Communications can provide for video with over 200 cable channels
and high speed internet access service.

October 12 - Studio for the
Arts, Pocahontas - Michael Nelson and Andee Evers
October 19 - Jonesboro Public

Remember to display the flags
next Monday, October 11th for Columbus Day. Also a good
time to sell a flag contract on your route.

meeting will be Thursday, October 14 at Couch’s Barbeque at 6:30 AM.
All board members are urged to attend and any other member as well.
