16 members plus one guest.
Snodgrass made a report on the District 7-0
Convention this past weekend. Our club had good
participation with 7 members attending. There
were 78 Lions from about 27 clubs in attendance.
This was our
business meeting and the Club Secretary read the
minutes of the October 13 Board of Directors
meeting and the Club Treasurer gave the
financial report. As of September 30, our bank
balance was $8,387.70 with $3,657.65 in the
Operating Fund and $4,730.05 in the Activity
We will soon
have the Pecan Sale Project and the TV Auction
to work on. The pecans have been ordered and
Lion Bill Dickens will have them at his business
next week. The TV Auction will be December 11.
Lion Dickens has also provided space to collect
the auction items at his business. We need
sponsors and items for our auction to be signed
up and collected now. We will also be selling
Boston Butts for $25.00 by reservation only.
October 30, is the date of the Miracle Rodeo.
Workers are needed Friday night, October 29th
at the fairgrounds at 6:30 PM and on Saturday
starting about 11:00 AM. To make the rodeo a
success approximately 500 volunteers are

next Tuesday will be Mr. Jim Shehorn with Scenic
Hill Association. Topic of speech will be
“working with city government to maintain and
clean a prosperous community.”
Last week our
president passed out a paper entitled The
Recruiting Wheel, which listed eight different
categories of persons you come in contact each
day that may be prospective members for our
club. Fill in the questionnaire and bring it to
