At our Tuesday weekly meeting this morning, Secretary Charles Hartwig ( #
51) won the pot on the very first drawing for the second week in a row! He
would like to thank the Lion Tamers for apparently updating the numbers in
the drawing jar.

Attendance was 18 members, plus Mario Resendz again, who may or may not have
been a guest of Robert Bahn. (He works for Robert at ASU as an intern, at
any rate.)

Announcements: [nos. 4 and 5 below were not mentioned at the meeting, so
keep reading]

1. Two flag days will be coming up next week: Election Day and Veteran's

donor and sponsor forms for the December 8th auction, and then use them to

3. Lion Bryan Ulmer collected some funds to help his participation in an

luck Bryan!

4. "Nut Man" Bill Dickens is pleased to announce that the nuts will be
here this Friday, AND that members could pick some up at his store Friday
afternoon. He will also bring some next Tuesday -- $8 per bag for the best
nuts you will find anywhere! (Five types of pecans, plus cashews & English
walnuts). This has been one of our best fund-raisers.

5. Charles Hartwig advises members that the first group of Peace Posters
for this year's Lions International Peace Poster contest will be picked up
for our judge this Friday - keep tuned for announcements of times and
locations of awards ceremonies at local schools, probably starting next
