Lion Bill Levins (#39) won
the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.
We had no guests this week
and our attendance was 27 members present.
Now we have pecans to sell.
Lion Bill Dickens has plain, roasted, chocolate, and cashews
roasted and salted. They sell for $7.00 per bag or 3 for $20.00.
He also has the gift decanters for $25.00. If you did not get
your supply of nuts Tuesday, he will have them at club meeting
next Tuesday or at his store. Get your supply NOW!!
There will be a car show
committee meeting next Tuesday night at 7:00 PM at the Forest
Home Church of the Nazarene. The Car Show dates are March 19 -
20 , 2005.
Lion Ken Helman reminds us
that the final date to make reservations for the Christmas party
is December 1st. The Christmas party will be December
14th at the Imperial Dinner Theater in Pocahontas.
This will be a gala affair with a sit down dinner followed by a
stage play of the Wizard of oz. We now have more than 45
that have made reservations.
The club has to pay the
Imperial Theater by December 1, so make your payment of $18.95
per person to Lion Ken by November 30.
Our Dyeann’s house now has
three flag poles flying a U.S. flag, a Lions Club flag, and a
Dyeann’s House flag. The flag poles were erected by City Water &
Light and the landscaping was provided by Sartin Services.
Keep Lion Bill Hester in
your prayers as he undergoes heart treatment in 1 day surgery at
St. Bernards.
We had a no show by our
scheduled speaker and Lion Brad Baker provided a video on Mid
South Lions Sight and hearing Services entitled 60 years of
Miracles.
