Lion Marcy Harrell (#17) won the Tail Twister’s pot on the first drawing.  Our attendance  was 19 members present.

Tickets are on sale for Dyeann’s House gospel music concert with Mitch Holifield and his group.

The concert will be Saturday, December 13, at 7:00 PM., (after the Lions Auction) at the Valley View Performing Arts Center.  Tickets are $5.00 each.  Lions Pat Snodgrass and Marcy Harrell have the tickets for sale.  Let’s support our Dyeann’s House.

Our two local Peace Poster winners have taken 1st and 2nd place in the District 7-0 contest.  Ali Tucker of Nettleton Intermediate Center (NIC) took first place and now her poster goes on to the state contest.  The second place winner was Matias Grady of Fox Meadow.

Remember next Tuesday there will not be a breakfast meeting but, instead we will have our annual Christmas party at 6:30 PM at Lazzari Restaurant.  Bring a fun gift to exchange and some canned goods to donate to the Food Pantry.

Pecan sales are still going good.  Let’s try to finish this project by December 23 and pay for the pecans by that time.

Our program this week was brought by City Council member Rennell Woods, Director of City Youth Ministries.  Rennell talked about the great work City Youth Ministries are doing with the youth of our city.  Operation 365 is their new sponsorship program that helps City Youth to help the kids in the community.  City Youth has determined that it costs $365.00 per child per year to sponsor a child in the City Youth programs.  By comparison it has been determined that it costs $3,000 per year per child to lock up a child in the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center.

City Youth helps keep kids out of juvenile detention.

Items, Items, Items- We need items for our auction which is only 10 days away.  To date we only have enough items to be on the air about 3 hours.  We need at least 150 items to have a successful auction.  They are easy to get.  You just have to ask.  SEE ATTACHMENT FOR LIST.
