Lion Larry Hinck, (28) won the Tail Twisterís pot on the first drawing. We had no guests and our attendance was 25 members present.

This is the week of our Jonesboro Lions auction. We are still needing items and sponsors. As of this morning we had about 85+ items which will give us about 4 hours on TV time. We will meet at Albert Frankenbergerís office on Friday at 1:00 PM to gather up the items and set up from 1 - 6 PM at Sudden Link studios, 1520 South Caraway Road. Any items you can get for the auction bring them to Albertís office by 1:00 PM Friday. Our goal for proceeds from the auction is $8,000. With every member working, we can reach our goal.

Our program this week was given by Mr. Brent Cassidy, CPA with the Jones & Company Ltd. CPA firm. He gave us some good tax savings tips for filing our 2006 income tax returns.

Remember, next week we will not have a breakfast meeting, but will have our annual Christmas banquet at the Mongolian Grill at 6:30PM. Cost per person is $11.50, which includes tax and tip. Bring some canned goods for the Food Bank. Advise Lion Tony Bari if you have not made a reservation.

Remember the Board of Directors meeting at Couchís Restaurant next week on Thursday, December 14 @ 6:30AM. This is a good time to make up that missed meeting.

In conjunction with our Auction, we are also selling Boston Butts for $25.00. We have sold several but have several more available. The Downtown Club is handling the Boston Butts. Call Lion Javaine Furnatter at Liberty Bank to place your orders.

Lions Bill Dickens and Ken Stallings reports our pecan sales are going great and it looks like we may exceed our sales of 78 cases we did last year. Call these 2 Lions for your pecans to sell before Christmas.

We will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on Friday, December 15. If you havenít signed up to work, please do so next Tuesday or call Lion Pat Snodgrass. We are working one hour shifts from 8 AM to 10 PM at the Wal Mart Store on Highland.

Our next breakfast meeting will be December 19 and Dr. Bruce Tippit, Pastor of the First Baptist Church will bring a Christmas message. No meeting on December 26.
